Block Casting
Phoenix Collingwood Ltd also manufacture high quality water and temperature controlled, time and pitch controlled table vibrated blocks for a variety of customers including a world leading & innovative cremator manufacturer.
From our experience in the area of refractory casting we are able to offer a mould and pattern design around your requirements which once agreed can be produced to a high degree of accuracy to enable production of your required product either as a bespoke, one off special order, or as a repeat order for larger production runs ensuring identical and cost effective blocks over a long period of time.
Full kilning service
We also offer a full kilning service for your blocks which can be done as a small batch in one of several electrically fired kilns with specially designed programmable control systems to allow critical ramping and holding programmes to be written to extremely high degrees of accuracy throughout the kilning process. This ensures complete safe removal of free water from a batch (aprox 75% of water added to a mix is free water to facilitate placement of the product), leading up to the release of chemically combined water at various elevated temperatures depending on the material. Before finally taking the blocks up to service temperature, followed by a controlled cooling period to ensure a completely fired block.
